Pediatric Pharmacy Clinical Manager

Our top client is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Manager to take on a key role in designing, implementing, and overseeing pharmacy clinical programs. This position encompasses responsibilities such as formulary management, policy and procedure development, and education throughout the healthcare spectrum. The Clinical Manager will also provide essential support in pharmacy management when the Pharmacy Director or their designee is unavailable.

Who Will Be a Great Fit? 

Education:

  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required. A Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist is required.

  • At least 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience is essential, with a preference for experience within the specified area of focus. Hospital pharmacy management experience is highly preferred.

  • Completion of a hospital PGY2/pharmacy specialty residency or fellowship is a valuable addition to qualifications.

  • Certifications:

  • Specialty Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BCPS) certification and ACLS or other relevant certifications (e.g., FCCP, FASHP) are preferred.

  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy is required.

  • An active Pharmacy Consultant license is necessary, or equivalent as per State requirements for a Pharmacy Director/Pharmacist in Charge, if the facility pharmacy does not have a Pharmacy Operations Manager position available.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Meditech, Business Objects, and purchasing vendor applications is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Prior acute care pharmacy experience is a must.
