Clinical RN Supervisor

Job Description: Join our collaborative and supportive team as a Clinical RN Supervisor in the picturesque Finger Lakes Region of New York State. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate clinical activities across acute care settings during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Provide clinical leadership and assistance to nurses in planning, organizing, evaluating, and delivering nursing care to patients of all age groups.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Managers and off-site Clinical Leaders to monitor staffing levels based on patient acuities and adjust staffing accordingly.
  • Support nurses in managing emergency clinical and administrative situations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate competency assessment and staff development needs for nursing staff.
  • Create an environment that supports the professional development of staff and ensures accountability for professional practice.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and stakeholders to problem solve and create innovative resolutions.
  • Maintain effective communication channels between off-shift/weekend staff and nursing leadership.
  • Apply sound decision-making principles to prioritize patient care needs and allocate available resources efficiently.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards, professional practice standards, and clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • 1 year of leadership experience at the Charge Nurse level required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with healthcare team members, physicians, and the general public.
  • Preferred: Critical care experience and 1 year of experience in the health system.
