Responsibilities:

• Review requisitions for Physical Therapy and conduct patient interviews to evaluate physical condition and needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment programs, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Instruct patients on exercise techniques, equipment usage, and proper body mechanics.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and communicate effectively regarding patient progress and care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental policies and safety protocols.
• Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Participate in educational programs and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed or eligible to obtain a license to practice Physical Therapy in New York State.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire date.

Physical Requirements:

• This role involves appreciable physical effort and may require lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift at least thirty (30) pounds independently and up to one-hundred and fifty (150) pounds with assistance.
