Hospice Director of Nursing

Our fast-growing company is seeking a Hospice Director of Nursing to direct, supervise, and govern our hospice program, including inpatient care and bereavement follow-up. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and Supervise Hospice Program: Lead our comprehensive hospice program with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Quality Assurance: Devise and maintain systems to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Educational and Informational Programs: Develop and implement hospice-related educational initiatives for both staff and the community.
  • Coordinate Patient Services: Oversee all aspects of patient services, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to care delivery.
  • Clinical Staff Supervision: Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to foster a high-performing team.
  • Patient Needs Evaluation: Identify and evaluate patient needs to ensure they are met with the highest standards of hospice care.
  • Clinical Records Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of patient clinical records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • New Staff Orientation: Guide the orientation process for new staff members, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Medical Supplies Maintenance: Ensure the hospice program is well-stocked with the necessary medical supplies to provide uninterrupted care.

Qualifications

  • Current State License as a Registered Nurse: Essential for ensuring credibility and the ability to practice within the state.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Required educational foundation to understand the complexities of hospice care and management.
  • Director of Nursing Experience: Must have previous experience in a leadership role within nursing, specifically within a hospice or palliative care setting.
