Summary

The Director of Nursing will lead our nursing program, ensuring it aligns with the Nurse Practice Act, state and federal regulations, and our high standards for quality care. This role requires an individual with proven leadership skills in Skilled Nursing Facilities and a passion for enhancing patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: Must hold a valid RN license in Michigan and CPR certification.
• Experience: At least three years in a supervisory nursing role, preferably as a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing, with a background in Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Job Functions:

• Perform daily rounds and manage general operations, including hiring, evaluating, and disciplinary procedures.
• Foster a collaborative environment to address resident care issues.
• Develop systems for assuring clinical competencies and promoting staff development and education.
• Skillfully manage the nursing department budget, staffing schedules, and performance improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, nursing policies and procedures, and regulatory standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Exceptional leadership and motivation skills.
• Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations and manage priorities.
• Deep knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff and understanding of the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulations.
