Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a contract basis, providing top-tier nursing care across various units such as Critical Care, ICU, Med-Surg, and Emergency. This is an ideal role for cross-trained candidates comfortable floating to different specializations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in Med Surge, Acute, ICU, and Emergency settings.
• Float across different units or specializations as needed, ensuring a versatile approach to patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional care.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance the spirit of teamwork.
• Uphold the principles of a Healing Environment by being professional, communicating effectively, and attending to the environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current NYS RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and STROKE certifications (through the RQI system during clinical orientation).
• Demonstrated ability to deal with people professionally and courteously.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy, with preference for experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record systems.

Preferred

• Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association within 2 years of hire.
• TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire and CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
