We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee our PACU and Surgery departments in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a state-of-the-art facility, focusing on patient care excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of PACU, Surgery, Sterile Processing, and Valve Clinic
• Oversee staffing assignments and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and productivity
• Monitor department performance against benchmarks and productivity targets
• Collaborate with the Director of Surgical Services on staffing decisions and strategic planning
• Conduct performance appraisals, provide mentorship, and manage employee development
• Participate in physician meetings and interdepartmental collaborations
• Assist in budget preparation and management
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 5 years experience in Surgery/PACU, with 2 years in a supervisory role
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (obtainable within 30 days of start date)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in performance management and process improvement
• Familiarity with cardiac surgery procedures preferred
