Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients' physical conditions and needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including exercise, gait training, and soft tissue mobility techniques
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
• Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain department policies and procedures
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to safety protocols

Job Requirements

• New York State Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one
• Pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Physical ability to lift 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance
