Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our long-term care team at a state-of-the-art facility in the scenic Waterloo, NY. This full-time, direct-hire position offers competitive compensation, a generous benefits package, and relocation assistance for the right candidate. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will oversee a diverse group of professionals and play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of CNA Trainees, CNAs, Senior CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Unit Clerks.
  • Foster effective communication across all levels of staff, patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Implement management systems and processes to meet organizational objectives.
  • Utilize analytical skills to evaluate departmental needs and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Manage projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) requirements and maintain computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Meditech.
  • Drive strategies for uncompromising quality, patient safety, and an outstanding patient/resident/family experience.
  • Allocate resources to ensure efficient, effective, compassionate, and fiscally responsible nursing care.
  • Coordinate care across departments to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, retention, orientation, and professional development of personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
  • Current NYS License as a Professional Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience or long-term care experience.
  • Supervisory or management experience highly preferred.

The on-site restaurant provides a fine dining experience for residents and their guests.
