Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including exercise programs, gait training, and manual therapy techniques
• Utilize specialized pediatric equipment and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
• Educate patients and families on proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
• Mentor and guide support staff in patient care activities

Job Requirements

• New York State Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong interest or experience in pediatric physical therapy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Physical ability to lift 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance
