Job Summary
- The OR Nurse Manager is responsible for all department functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals.
- Provides leadership, clinical expertise, and functional direction to OR supervisors and staff to achieve optimal perioperative patient outcomes.
- Evaluates quality of perioperative practices in relation to established professional and legal standards.
- Collaborates with other disciplines to facilitate the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 5 years of RECENT ACUTE CARE perioperative nursing management experience Required (Would Consider Charge Nurse or Supervisor experience within the OR)
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- MSN degree preferred.
- Operating Room experience required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence required.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required.
- CNOR required within one year of hire, transfer or promotion.
