Job Summary
What will you do in this role:
- Coordinates and integrates services within their department and with other departments.
- Provides clear written and verbal communication to staff, supervisors, patients and families.
- Responsible for management of the department(s) daily operations. Will provide clinical services to patients as needed.
- Assists with establishing and enforcing department policies and procedures.
- Responsible for program development including establishment, implementation and assessment of strategic plan.
- Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruitment, orientation, retention, supervision, competency and professional growth.
- Develops and implements marketing plan to internal and external referral sources.
- Establishes and monitors the departments budgetary needs.
- Serves as a mentor to staff on clinical issues and serves as a positive example to employees and patients.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Associates Degree required. BSN preferred.
- Valid Virginia Registered Nurse license required
- 3 years of RN experience required with 1 year supervisory experience in healthcare preferred
- BLS required
- Certified Rehab Registered Nurse certification preferred
