Occupational Therapist

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility in Hornell, NY. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our diverse geriatric and subacute populations through comprehensive therapy services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Participate in family care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaborations
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Assume Director of Occupational Therapy responsibilities during absences as assigned
• Mentor and guide junior therapy staff members

 

Requirements

 

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current New York State Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 3 years of experience in geriatric and subacute care settings
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based OT practices for elderly populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
