Emergency Department Nurse Manager (RN) - Leadership Opportunity in Northern Virginia

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department
• Manage staffing levels and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care delivery
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance
• Lead recruitment, development, and retention of nursing staff
• Collaborate with interdepartmental leaders to enhance patient care coordination
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and standards
• Oversee departmental budget and resource management
• Serve as acting director during leadership absences

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia RN license or multi-state compact license with VA eligibility
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proven ER management experience
• Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred or in progress)
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (or ability to obtain within specified timeframes)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with quality metrics and regulatory compliance
