Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse - Level III

Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary patient advocate during cardiac surgical procedures
• Perform comprehensive perioperative patient assessments and care planning
• Maintain strict sterile technique and aseptic standards
• Operate and monitor advanced surgical equipment and technology
• Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Master both circulating and scrub nurse roles
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
• Document patient care using electronic medical records systems
• Float to non-cardiac specialties as needed

Required Qualifications:

• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Current RN license in Virginia (multi-state or single-state)
• Minimum of 5,616 hours of RN experience
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical capability to lift/move up to 100 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant specialty certification (CNOR, CVOR)
• Previous cardiac surgery experience
• Leadership or charge nurse experience
