Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Level II Trauma Center | Emergency Department Leadership

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical expertise with management responsibilities while making a meaningful impact on patient care delivery and outcomes.

Position Overview:

As Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll lead and coordinate all emergency department functions during your designated shifts, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care standards and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise emergency department clinical operations, ensuring optimal patient flow and resource utilization
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical outcomes
  • Coordinate complex patient care activities across multiple healthcare disciplines
  • Implement and maintain quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and develop nursing staff while fostering a positive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments and shifts

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
  • Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience
  • ACLS and PALS certification (or obtained within 1 year)
  • CPI certification (or obtained within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level II Trauma Center experience
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience
  • BSN degree
  • Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
