Position Overview
As the L&D Nurse Manager, you'll provide 24/7 operational leadership for our Labor and Delivery unit, fostering an environment of clinical excellence and evidence-based practice. You'll be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to exceptional patient care while developing and mentoring your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of L&D nurses, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety
- Implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and budget oversight
- Drive patient satisfaction and quality metrics while maintaining regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee staff education and professional development programs
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or compact state license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent L&D leadership experience
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- National specialty certification or willingness to obtain within one year
- Strong clinical background in Labor & Delivery
