Director of Nursing - Women's & Children's Services

Position Overview

As Director of Nursing, you will oversee clinical operations, staff development, and strategic initiatives while ensuring exceptional patient-centered care. This role combines clinical expertise with business acumen to drive operational excellence and maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct clinical operations and nursing practice across Women's & Children's units
• Lead implementation of evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Develop and maintain departmental budgets, including staffing and resource allocation
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and communication across departments
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accreditation standards
• Drive patient experience initiatives and quality improvements
• Mentor and develop nursing leadership talent
• Optimize patient flow and care coordination processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current RN license in state of practice
• 5+ years acute care experience in Women's & Children's Services
• 3+ years leadership experience in acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• Strong financial and operational management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
• ACLS, NRP, and RNC-OB certifications
• Experience with Magnet® designation processes
• FHM certification
