Director of Perioperative Services & Surgical Operations

We're seeking an experienced, dynamic healthcare leader to join our team as Director of Surgical Services. In this pivotal role, you'll lead our perioperative department while ensuring exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and team development. This position offers comprehensive oversight of our surgical services with 24/7 accountability.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for all perioperative and surgical services operations
• Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state requirements
• Lead a high-performing team of perioperative nurses and surgical staff
• Optimize surgical scheduling, resource utilization, and operational efficiency
• Implement innovative solutions to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
• Manage departmental budget and financial performance metrics
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Collaborate with physicians, administration, and cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications:

• BSN from an accredited institution
• Current state RN license
• Minimum 3 years of perioperative leadership experience
• Strong understanding of surgical services operations and workflow
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• CNOR and/or CSSM certification
• Experience with surgical information systems and analytics
• Lean/Six Sigma certification
