Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Leading Central Texas Healthcare System

Position Overview

As ED Nurse Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team while ensuring superior patient outcomes and operational excellence. This role combines clinical leadership, staff development, and strategic planning to maintain our position as a healthcare leader in Central Texas.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of emergency care professionals while maintaining clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
• Drive implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Oversee ED operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management
• Manage department budget and identify opportunities for cost optimization
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accreditation standards
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics including patient throughput and satisfaction
• Champion a culture of clinical excellence and exceptional patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Texas RN license or compact state licensure
• Minimum 3 years ED management experience in acute care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Emergency Nursing Certification preferred (CEN, CPEN)
• Demonstrated leadership and operational management experience
