Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) - Acute Care | Tampa Bay Area

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Document patient care activities in EMR systems
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and post-discharge care
• Monitor and manage medical equipment and supplies
• Serve as a patient advocate and ensure patient safety standards
• Mentor and support nursing support staff

Qualifications:

• Current Florida RN license or multi-state license required
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must obtain within 30 days)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
