Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program Director - Education Leadership Opportunity

A leading healthcare institution is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program Director to lead our NAACLS-accredited education program. This role combines educational leadership, laboratory expertise, and program management to shape the next generation of laboratory professionals.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the NAACLS-accredited MLS Education program
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies and educational methodologies
• Manage program accreditation, ensuring compliance with NAACLS standards
• Direct and mentor program faculty while fostering academic excellence
• Coordinate student learning activities, including lectures, assessments, and clinical rotations
• Oversee program budget and resource allocation
• Maintain quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance
• Foster relationships with clinical affiliates and healthcare partners

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in related field
• ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
• Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in clinical laboratory science
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related biological science
• Proven expertise in NAACLS accreditation procedures
• BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
