Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Neurology/Cardiovascular Unit

Join our dynamic healthcare team at Memorial Regional Hospital in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where we're seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our specialized 27-bed Neuro-Cardiac unit.

Position Overview

As a Cardiac Telemetry RN, you'll deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and neurological conditions, including post-cardiac surgery, MI cases, and neurology patients. This role combines critical thinking with compassionate care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data for early intervention
• Manage post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient/family education on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Document patient care using electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license (or compact license with ability to obtain FL license within 90 days)
• 3+ years of recent acute care RN experience with telemetry and cardiac focus
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• NIHSS Certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred)
