We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Manager to lead our Central Sterilization Department in Fort Pierce, FL. This crucial role involves overseeing the sterile processing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing a team of skilled professionals.
• Direct and organize sterile processing activities in alignment with DOH, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards
• Develop and implement policies to meet facility goals and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate daily operations for surgical instrument and tray reprocessing
• Manage and evaluate staff performance, providing mentorship and training
• Optimize department efficiency and maintain quality control measures
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely instrument availability
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience
• 2-3 years of management experience in healthcare settings
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) certification required
• Vocational school graduate or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
