Clinical Unit Manager - Labor & Delivery / Women's Health Services
Join our prestigious healthcare facility in Austin, Texas as a Clinical Unit Manager overseeing our Labor & Delivery department. In this leadership role, you'll drive clinical excellence, shape patient care standards, and lead a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional maternal care services.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of L&D nurses while ensuring evidence-based clinical practices
- Drive quality metrics and patient satisfaction scores through strategic initiatives
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource management of the L&D unit
- Implement and maintain clinical protocols aligned with regulatory requirements
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration to ensure seamless patient care
- Manage unit budget and operational efficiency
- Champion patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Drive staff development and maintain clinical competencies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 3 years L&D clinical experience
- 1+ year leadership experience in healthcare
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- RNC-OB certification
- NRP and ACLS certifications
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Previous experience with quality improvement initiatives
