Director of Infection Prevention & Control - Leading Academic Medical Center

Join our prestigious 612-bed academic medical center and children's hospital as our next Director of Infection Prevention. Lead a dedicated team in developing and implementing cutting-edge infection prevention strategies while working with top healthcare professionals in Augusta, Georgia.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee comprehensive infection prevention programs across the medical center
  • Lead surveillance, monitoring, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections
  • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements
  • Manage outbreak investigations and response protocols
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 4 infection prevention professionals
  • Collaborate with CDC, state, and county health departments
  • Develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies
  • Lead educational initiatives for healthcare staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred in Public Health or related field)
  • Current RN license (Georgia licensure required within 6 months)
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
  • 5+ years of infection prevention experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven experience in data analysis and epidemiological methodology
  • Experience in a large acute care setting
