Director of Surgical Services & Perioperative Operations

A leading healthcare organization seeks an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead our state-of-the-art perioperative department. Core Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative services, including pre-op, OR, PACU, and sterile processing
• Drive clinical excellence and maintain regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state requirements
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital equipment planning and resource allocation
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain key performance metrics
• Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, staff, and hospital leadership
• Champion patient safety initiatives and best practices in surgical care
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current RN license in state of practice
• Minimum 5 years perioperative nursing experience
• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services
• Strong financial acumen and operational management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
• CNOR certification
• CSSM certification
• Experience with surgical service line development
