Director of Sterile Processing Department (SPD) - Healthcare Leadership Opportunity

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all operations of the Sterile Processing Department, managing a team of 20-30+ FTEs
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN)
• Drive operational excellence through process improvement initiatives and best practices implementation
• Manage departmental budget and resources while optimizing cost-effectiveness
• Foster strong interdepartmental relationships, particularly with Surgical Services
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and safety standards
• Develop and mentor staff through professional development programs
• Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory management, and capital planning

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
• Current CRCST or CSPT certification
• Minimum 5 years of Director-level experience in SPD within an acute care hospital setting
• Proven track record of managing large teams (20+ FTEs)
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements
• BCLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
