Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager | Leading Healthcare System

We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager to lead our busy L&D unit at our state-of-the-art medical center. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of maternal care while leading a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Position Overview

As the L&D Nurse Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure excellence in patient care, and lead a large, high-performing team in one of our most vital departments. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver exceptional birthing experiences for our growing patient community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of L&D nurses, implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Drive clinical excellence through quality improvement initiatives and standardization of care protocols
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain optimal unit operations
• Champion patient satisfaction initiatives and maintain high standards for maternal care
• Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance clinical competencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• 2-3+ years of leadership experience in Labor & Delivery as a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager
• 3-5+ years of acute hospital nursing experience in Labor & Delivery
• Current BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
• NRP certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire)
• Strong clinical knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
