Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Specialist
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist in beautiful Tampa, Florida. We're seeking an experienced professional to provide exceptional respiratory care in our state-of-the-art acute care facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care treatments and interventions following physician orders
- Manage and operate advanced respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analyses
- Monitor patient responses and medication side effects
- Provide patient education and family support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Recognize and report patient abuse or neglect
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical Care Unit)
- Active Florida State Respiratory License
- NBRC RRT/CRT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to obtain ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
