Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) - Acute Care

Position Location: Florida

Position Overview

Join our award-winning healthcare team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse where you'll deliver exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art acute care facility. As a valued member of our collaborative healthcare team, you'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients while working alongside supportive colleagues who share your passion for excellence in healthcare.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Monitor and document patient conditions using electronic health records (EHR)
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and post-discharge care
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Manage medical equipment and supplies efficiently
  • Serve as a patient advocate and ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Current Florida RN license or multi-state license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
  • 1+ year acute care experience preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
