CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients
• Perform complex patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Monitor and operate advanced cardiac equipment and technology
• Serve as patient and family advocate while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
• Provide comprehensive patient/family education regarding medications and treatments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Document patient care according to hospital protocols and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Current Florida RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• NIHSS stroke certification (required within 30 days)
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree
• CCRN certification (must be obtained within 2 years)
• Previous CVICU or ICU experience
