Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program Director - Academic Healthcare Leadership

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Laboratory Science Program Director to lead our NAACLS-accredited program. This leadership role combines educational excellence with clinical laboratory expertise, offering the opportunity to shape the next generation of laboratory professionals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the MLS Education program, including curriculum development, instruction, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain NAACLS program accreditation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage program faculty and staff while fostering a collaborative learning environment
• Develop and oversee program budget and resource allocation
• Design and implement comprehensive student assessment strategies
• Coordinate clinical rotations and maintain partnerships with healthcare facilities
• Ensure program alignment with current laboratory practice standards and emerging technologies
• Participate in institutional committees and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in related field
• ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC MLS certification
• Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in clinical laboratory science
• Proven leadership and administrative experience
• Experience with NAACLS accreditation processes
• BLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
