Director of Infection Prevention & Control | Healthcare Leadership Role

Position Overview
As Director of Infection Prevention, you will spearhead our hospital-wide infection control program, utilizing evidence-based practices to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance. This executive leadership position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on healthcare quality and patient outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive infection prevention programs across all hospital departments
- Develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies and procedures
- Direct surveillance activities and analyze healthcare-associated infection data
- Chair the Infection Prevention Committee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance with CDC, CMS, Joint Commission, and state requirements
- Provide expert consultation on infection prevention matters to all levels of staff
- Design and deliver infection prevention education programs
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to infection control
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure or healthcare professional license in Maine (or eligible)
- CIC (Certification in Infection Prevention and Control) required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or health-related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
- 5+ years of dedicated infection prevention experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience in healthcare setting
- Strong analytical and communication skills
