Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Emergency Department | Leadership Opportunity
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in our Emergency Department. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll guide clinical operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional patient care delivery in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily emergency department operations, ensuring optimal patient flow and care delivery
- Supervise clinical staff while maintaining accountability for department performance metrics
- Implement and monitor evidence-based clinical practices and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive patient care plans
- Provide clinical expertise and mentorship to nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
- Drive patient satisfaction initiatives through leadership and example
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- 3+ years RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience
- ACLS and PALS certification (or obtain within 1 year)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (or obtain within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Trauma nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
- Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
