Senior Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Specialist

This unique role offers the opportunity to work independently while providing critical respiratory care services across multiple departments, including Emergency, Surgical, and Cardiac units.

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary respiratory care provider during assigned shifts
• Perform and assist with emergency intubations as backup support
• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across multiple departments
• Manage patient care in ED, surgical, rehabilitation, cardiac, and orthopedic units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide emergency response support throughout the facility
• Maintain accurate patient records and care documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• NBRC certification as CRT or RRT
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification or EKG & Pharmacology Course completion
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
