Clinical Registered Nurse II (RN) - Medical/Surgical Unit
Valley Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN II) to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care while demonstrating clinical excellence and leadership in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation
- Serve as Charge Nurse, providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Direct and coordinate patient education and safety initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement projects and departmental initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Monitor and validate patient/family satisfaction
- Develop educational materials for staff and patients
- Participate in peer review processes
Required Qualifications:
- Current Virginia RN license or eligible for licensure
- Associates Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Specialty certification in relevant field
- Previous charge nurse experience
