Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level II Trauma Center (RN Leadership)

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Department Nurse Manager in our state-of-the-art Level II Trauma Center. In this leadership role, you will guide a dedicated team of emergency care professionals while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of emergency care professionals in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Serve as the operational leader in the Director's absence, managing all aspects of the ED
  • Optimize resource allocation and staffing based on patient volume and acuity
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
  • Drive staff development through recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration to ensure seamless patient care coordination
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and emergency care best practices
  • Oversee orientation programs for new staff, students, and volunteers

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia RN license or multi-state compact license with VA practice eligibility
  • Minimum 5 years Emergency Department clinical experience
  • Proven ED management experience
  • Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred or in progress)
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • TNCC certification
  • ACLS certification (Instructor status required within 1 year)
  • PALS certification (Instructor status required within 1 year)
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
