Position Overview

As the NSMS Nurse Manager, you will collaborate with the Director of Progressive Care to oversee the 24-hour operations of our Neurosurgical Medical-Surgical department. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure exceptional patient care delivery and departmental success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
• Manage operational and capital budgets effectively
• Implement and maintain patient safety protocols and quality improvement initiatives
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Oversee staff development, scheduling, and performance management
• Drive patient satisfaction through proactive care management and hourly rounding
• Maintain clinical excellence through evidence-based practices

Required Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN licensure in Texas or Compact State
• 3-5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in ICU or Neurological unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Clinical practice experience within the last 2-5 years
• Strong operational and financial management skills
