Clinical Oncology Nurse Coordinator - Leadership Opportunity in Acute Care

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate patient care activities across the Oncology unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Drive efficient patient throughput by managing admission and discharge processes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service quality and clinical outcomes
  • Implement and monitor nursing care standards and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and develop nursing staff through training, performance evaluation, and professional growth opportunities
  • Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation to maintain optimal unit operations
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
  • Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Texas RN license or compact state license
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent leadership experience in acute care oncology setting within the last year
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to obtain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within 60 days of employment
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
