Clinical NICU Nurse Coordinator - Level IV NICU | Leadership Opportunity

Position Overview

As the NICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional patient care while managing daily operations and maintaining clinical excellence in our Level IV NICU. This role bridges clinical practice and administrative leadership, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and staff development.

Essential Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate high-acuity neonatal patient care delivery and unit operations
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes
• Facilitate efficient patient admission and discharge processes
• Implement evidence-based practices and nursing care standards
• Mentor and develop nursing staff through education and training programs
• Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Drive employee engagement through leadership initiatives
• Oversee inventory management and equipment maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent (within last year) Level IV NICU charge nurse experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• Current NRP certification
• Current STABLE certification
• Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives
