Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Med-Surg Unit) - Leadership Opportunity

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join our award-winning Medical-Surgical unit. Position Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll serve as a key member of our management team, ensuring excellence in patient care while mentoring and supporting nursing staff. This role offers a unique blend of clinical practice and leadership, operating within one of Dallas's premier healthcare facilities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient care delivery across the Med-Surg unit during assigned shifts
• Drive operational excellence through efficient admission and discharge processes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and service quality
• Implement and monitor nursing care standards and quality metrics
• Participate in staff development, scheduling, and performance management
• Champion patient satisfaction initiatives and service recovery efforts
• Manage unit resources, including supplies and equipment
• Support employee engagement through leadership rounding and mentorship

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• Minimum 1 year recent (within last year) Med-Surg Charge Nurse experience in acute care
• BSN required within 24 months of hire (for those hired after 6/1/12)
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills
• Excellence in communication and interpersonal relations
