Clinical Hospital Pharmacist - Level II

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and medication therapy management
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize department finances
• Deliver evidence-based clinical recommendations and interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in various patient care settings
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation coverage
• Handle hazardous medications following USP guidelines and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Current Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license or eligible for licensure within 90 days
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or three years of clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• PGY2 specialization in Pediatrics
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with electronic health record systems
