Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Hospital Setting
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare providers, optimize patient outcomes, and contribute to our mission of providing integrated, quality pharmaceutical services in a dynamic hospital environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services as part of interdisciplinary care teams
- Conduct medication therapy management and pharmacotherapeutic consultations
- Participate in virtual pharmacy consultations for ambulatory care settings
- Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile medication compounding
- Provide drug information and evidence-based medicine expertise
- Deliver patient and healthcare provider education
- Respond to medical emergencies as part of the code team
- Mentor pharmacy students and residents
Required Qualifications:
- PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in healthcare technology systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience with collaborative practice protocols
