Senior MRI Technologist - Healthcare Imaging Professional
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you'll operate advanced magnetic resonance imaging equipment to provide crucial diagnostic imaging services while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI scans on patients of all ages using state-of-the-art imaging equipment
- Administer IV contrast materials and ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Position patients accurately while maintaining professional ethics, comfort, and safety
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize imaging protocols
- Maintain detailed patient records and manage scheduling systems
- Participate in quality assurance programs and equipment maintenance
- Mentor and train new staff members and students
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification/registration in MRI or eligibility for advanced certification
- Current AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist patients and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining required continuing education credits
