Clinical Nursing Manager - Critical Care Unit

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nursing Manager to lead our Critical Care Unit at Wesley Medical Center. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to drive excellence in patient care, team development, and operational performance.

Position Overview

As Clinical Nursing Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Critical Care Unit while ensuring exceptional patient care standards, staff development, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of critical care nurses while maintaining 24-hour accountability for unit operations
• Implement and monitor evidence-based clinical practices and quality measures
• Manage fiscal resources, staffing, and operational budgets
• Drive continuous improvement in patient care metrics including VAP prevention, Core Measures, and patient safety initiatives
• Oversee implementation of clinical protocols and care bundles
• Participate in strategic planning and program development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU, PACU, OR, ED)
• Demonstrated leadership experience (Charge Nurse experience considered)
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and critical care procedures
• Strong knowledge of electronic medical records (MediTech experience preferred)
• Excellence in clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
