Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Critical Care Specialist
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in critical care. We're seeking an experienced respiratory care professional to provide exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art acute care facility. Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver and manage complex respiratory care treatments including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
- Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analyses
- Monitor patient responses and medication effects in respiratory care treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans
- Provide patient education and family support regarding respiratory care procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
- Identify and report cases of patient abuse or neglect according to protocol
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or Critical Care settings
- Active Florida State Respiratory License
- NBRC RRT/CRT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to obtain ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications within 30 days of employment
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
