Clinical Observation Unit Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg

Join a leading healthcare facility in Florida as a Clinical Observation Unit Registered Nurse, where you'll provide exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art observation and medical-surgical unit. We're seeking a dedicated nursing professional to deliver comprehensive care while working alongside our accomplished healthcare team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and monitoring in a fast-paced observation/med-surg environment
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and health management
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Florida RN license or valid compact state license (FL license required within 90 days)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in Observation/Med-Surg or Emergency Room nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
