Clinical Observation Unit Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring in a fast-paced observation/med-surg environment
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Current Florida RN license or valid compact state license (FL license required within 90 days)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in Observation/Med-Surg or Emergency Room nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Registered Nurse Diploma
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
