Cardiac Telemetry and Neurology Registered Nurse (RN)
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiac Telemetry and Neurology Registered Nurse in our state-of-the-art 27-bed unit. We're seeking an experienced RN to provide exceptional patient care for our cardiac and neurological patients, including post-cardiac surgery, MI/chest pain, and specialized neuro cases.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement evidence-based care plans
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings for critical care patients
- Manage post-operative cardiac patients, including CAB and MI cases
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Provide patient and family education regarding care and recovery
- Document patient care using electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality care standards
Required Qualifications:
- Current Florida State RN license (or ability to obtain within 90 days if holding compact license)
- Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience
- Proven telemetry and cardiac care experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree
- Previous neurology nursing experience
- NIHSS certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Stroke care experience
