Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert critical care to cardiovascular patients requiring intensive monitoring and complex interventions
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement appropriate care plans
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards
• Provide detailed patient/family education regarding medications, treatments, and recovery processes
• Monitor and operate specialized cardiac equipment and technology
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records (EHR)

Required Qualifications:

• Current Florida State Registered Nurse license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• NIHSS stroke certification (required within 30 days)
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CCRN certification (must be obtained within 2 years)
• Previous cardiovascular or critical care experience
